About The Position

About the Role The Assembler is responsible for performing a variety of mechanical and electrical assembly tasks. In this role, you will assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot, and repair equipment used in the pulp and paper industry. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, hands-on mechanical work, and working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
- Basic knowledge of shop math
- Ability to use standard machinist inspection tools
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Candidates must successfully complete a background check, pre‑employment physical, and drug screen prior to hire.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble mechanical or electrical equipment according to specifications
- Perform repairs and adjustments on industrial components
- Interpret and follow mechanical blueprints
- Use basic machining and inspection tools to verify accuracy and quality (verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.)
- Apply basic shop mathematics during daily work
- Support a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
