This position is responsible for assembling parts and installing various refrigeration system components into refrigerated and heated units. The role involves following safety rules, reading job travelers and drawings, checking for correctness, and reporting any issues. Responsibilities include measuring and cutting wire, soldering, crimping connectors, bending and cutting component leads, testing wire assemblies, ordering parts, and assembling parts according to instructions. The Assembler will also operate spot-welding and punch machines, assemble hinges, brackets, and gaskets into doors, and assemble metal components according to blueprints and specifications. Additionally, they will install refrigeration system components, drill holes, install mounting brackets, and replace or adjust defective parts. The role involves setting up units for foaming, cleaning production assemblies, cleaning units, attaching data plates, signing off on job travelers, and attaching skids. Inspectors will ensure work meets quality standards and that proper documentation is in order for shipping. Some tasks may include cutting, bending, and brazing tubing, installing expansion and control valves, testing lines for leaks, and transporting parts or units within the facility. Assisting in crating finished units, matching shipping labels, and checking serial numbers are also potential duties. The role requires working cooperatively with coworkers and performing additional tasks as assigned.
