About The Position

In this role the individual must be able to read and follow established procedures, collect materials needed to assemble a specific product, perform two-handed work with the manual dexterity to assemble small [less than 1/8 of an inch] and large parts, maintain efficient handling operations, perform minor adjustments on equipment and verify with quality that the assembly of the product has been done correctly per product specifications. Daily, onsite attendance is required at each job's location in Anderson, Indiana.

Requirements

  • Must have 2+ years' experience with computers, touch screens and computer applications to keep job pace aligned with work standards.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in an assembly line or similar production environment, with a demonstrated ability to meet high-volume production demands.
  • Ability to learn new software, eg, for entry of data and safety reports.
  • Ability to read, speak and understand both verbal and written English language.
  • Ability to identify data on an order, machine and product labels, with the ability to visually match data from the machine to the order, and from product to materials, to ensure accurate order fulfilment.
  • Able to perform two-handed work and assembly tasks with the manual dexterity to handle small parts less than 1/8” in size and larger parts.
  • Perform work safely in a physical job and warehouse environment that will have temperature fluctuations, including cold, heat and humidity.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and company policies.
  • Gather materials needed to complete assembly work.
  • Complete all set-up duties as defined by company policy and procedures.
  • Performance of all assembly duties.
  • Assemble finished products, ensuring all pieces are fitted correctly and according to standards.
  • Perform quality checks with a high degree of accuracy, both alone and with input from the Quality Team.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance.
  • Keep workstation clean and uncluttered during the workday, and prepare the station as directed for the next work shift.
  • Provide continuous support of the Production Supervisor’s activities to keep lines operating efficiently, including but not limited to cleaning the machines, applying gel to adaptors, and preparing pallets for finished products.
  • Support supervisors and managers in applying control plans and procedures.
  • Follow work instructions to consume materials effectively and efficiently.
  • Inspect, separate, report and control non-conforming materials.
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures [SOP's] that accurately depict the completion of assemblies, aligned with current work processes.
  • Generate and maintain organized and accurate activity logs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
