About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Assembler and Shipping Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for assembling products, packaging orders, and ensuring timely and accurate shipments. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position reports to Warehouse Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Escondido, California.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1- 2 years of experience.
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic measuring instruments.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with shipping software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Communicates information that requires some explanation and interpretation.
  • Ability to work under moderate supervision.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in assembly, shipping, or warehouse work is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspect products for defects or missing parts before packaging.
  • Troubleshoot minor assembly issues and report defects or discrepancies.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipment packing slips and record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
  • Prepare shipping documents and ensure proper handling of outbound shipments.
  • Complete and maintain accurate shipping and receiving reports.
  • Operate shipping software and coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries.
  • Assist in inventory management, stock replenishment, and cycle counts.
  • Coordinate timely pick-up arrangements with carriers specified on the customer’s purchase order for outbound shipments.
