Requirements

• Ability to measure, compare and make simple or complex shop calculations
• Proficiency in using materials, methods and equipment in the shop (sanding, drills, air and electric hand cutting tools)
• Experience with material fit ups and layouts with steel
• Skill in positioning and securing workpieces using hand tools, forklifts, etc.
• Ability to inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
• Experience with sanding/grinding
• Experience with breaking out steel
• Experience with steel panel assembly with bolt together construction
• Experience with material handling/forklift

Responsibilities

• Measure, compare and make simple or complex shop calculations necessary to ensure products are in conformance with engineering or sales specifications using materials, methods and equipment in the shop (included but not limited to sanders, drills, air, and electric hand cutting tools)
• Material fit ups and layouts with steel
• Position and secure workpieces using hand tools, forklifts, etc.
• Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
• Sanding/grinding
• Breaking out steel
• Steel panel assembly with bolt together construction
• Material handling/forklift
