About The Position

Under the direction of the Product Manager, the Assembler Operator operates closure assembly machines to produce finished goods according to customer/stock specifications. In addition, they fill product hoppers from work-in-process (WIP) components. The role performs quality checks, packages finished goods, and manually palletizes finished goods pallets according to the production order/customer specification.

Responsibilities

Performs all tasks necessary to operate equipment according to procedure.
Implements customer required quality requirements by performing specified quality checks/inspections per the customer specification.
Packages and labels finished products according to the Control Plan.
Perform line clearance at end of order.
Actively communicates with coworkers – key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
Follows work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions.
Performs root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately or appropriate personnel need to be called.
Maintains 5S environment in work area, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to move 200+ pounds with the assist of pallet jack.
Constantly achieve established production output requirements.
Sweeps any debris from work area in the production area and machinery.
Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
