About The Position

Assemble variety of basic blind styles within established standards for quality and timeliness. May perform pre-assembly responsibilities such as cutting fabric or headrail, picking parts, final bagging and labeling, and weighing fabric or rail and inputting data into a computer database. Select blinds off carts, following set procedures and established priority guidelines. Perform initial hand assembly of blinds to allow for hanging, inspection, and adjustment. Hang blinds and perform initial inspection, checking that parts fit together, adjusting motors (if applicable), and adjusting clutches. Make necessary adjustments and re-inspect. Complete the assembly process by adding end caps, adjusting snaps, and setting stops. Perform testing of blinds, including quality tests, visual tests, and function/performance tests (e.g., drops correctly, width, color, flaws in materials, function). Interact with quality specialists to ensure quality guidelines are met. Prepare blinds for packaging and shipment by pulling blinds up into a stacked position; may bag or place on a cart for submission to another group for packaging/labeling and shipment. Complete productivity paperwork related to blind assembly. May work with Engineering on testing new products. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established procedures to keep the work environment neat and orderly. Perform minor maintenance on equipment and tools. Interact with Toolroom and Maintenance Departments on equipment and tool repair and the development of new equipment and tools. Follow safety policies and procedures, attending regularly-scheduled safety meetings. Attend daily huddles and other meetings to ensure smooth communication flow.

3 months manufacturing experience
