As a Level III Assembler, you'll play an important role in producing high-quality fluid system components that meet the expectations of customers around the world. You'll use your mechanical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities to assemble products safely, accurately, and efficiently. In this role, you’ll be able to follow standardized work instructions and engineering drawings to complete complex assembly operations using established quality requirements. You’ll serve as a knowledgeable team member who is able to support process improvements, assist with troubleshooting, and maintain efficient workflow within the manufacturing cell.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble precision mechanical products.
  • Ability to interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Identify problems and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and ownership of assigned work.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing or precision assembly experience.
  • Experience working in a lean environment.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and torque tools.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and interpreting product specifications.
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives or training team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble a variety of products and subassemblies using standard work instructions, blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications.
  • Perform complex assembly operations requiring mechanical aptitude, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Inspect components and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, gauges, measuring devices, and testing equipment to complete assigned work.
  • Identify and resolve routine assembly issues while escalating more complex concerns as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Perform in-process inspections and functional testing as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Assist with training and mentoring less experienced assemblers as needed.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment following all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Cross-train and work in multiple production areas to support business needs.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to achieving departmental performance goals.
  • Consistently display competencies that align to and uphold Swagelok's core values.
