About The Position

Oversee and coordinate the activities of assembly or fabrication of mechanical parts for oilfield pumping equipment in a manufacturing setting. The Assembler Lead will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in the assembly process. This role involves hands-on work, team leadership, and problem-solving to meet production goals.

Requirements

Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
Knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.
Competent in the use of computers.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations.
Ability to utilize hand and power tools.
Ability to manage time-sensitive projects.
Ability to work without supervision.
One year experience in assembly or manufacturing environment.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.
Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels).
Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers.
Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.
Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools.
Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.
Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 1 (one) year of experience leading and coordinating production projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate the activities of assembly or fabrication of mechanical parts for oilfield pumping equipment.
Perform fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, and operational testing.
Promote and contribute to safety awareness.
Promote and take an active part in quality and continuous improvement processes.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspect production equipment, and perform minor repairs.
Assign work to the team.
Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair a variety of mechanical equipment.
Understand safe equipment operation for testing and adjusting after repairs and/or during inspection/diagnosis.
Ensure the organization and cleanliness of workstations.
Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
Perform manufacturing math calculations.
Use specialized lifting equipment.
Troubleshoot scenarios to determine the safest and most efficient way to repair a piece of equipment.
Respond to technical questions from production staff.
