The Assembler Lead performs repetitive assembly operations, trains and provides work direction to the assembly team to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs. This role involves planning and assigning work tasks among the assembly team to meet daily, weekly, project, or team-related production goals. The lead is responsible for job tracking and reporting, overseeing the efficiency and output of the assembler team. They train new assembler employees in component assembly techniques, use of tools and machinery, and safety guidelines and procedures. The position requires adaptability as tasks change with varying product models. Duties include placing parts in specified relationships, fastening parts together using various methods, removing defective products, tending machines for force fitting or fastening operations, and working at different workstations as production needs require. The Assembler Lead is also responsible for cleaning equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
