About The Position

This position is responsible for assembling various documents and/or customer provided materials into completed kits. Duties include performing pre-assembly tasks such as prepping boxes, stocking the assembly area, gathering materials, and organizing the work area. The role requires following detailed procedures for routine packing work, collating materials, picking and packaging a variety of printed materials, and assembling finished products into boxes or containers for shipping according to customer specifications. Additionally, the assembler/kitter will count and sort inventory as required and may prepare shipments of customer samples.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
• Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).
• Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.
• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee.
• Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
• Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Must be willing to flex schedule to meet the needs of production, including working overtime or a different shift, if needed.
• Must be able to use a ladder to pick items or to retrieve boxes or materials.
