About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Assembler III (1st Shift) at our El Paso, TX location. The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 per hour. The hours for this shift are 7:00 am - 3:45 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • 1 year of internal switchboard manufacturing experience or 2 Assembler II certifications.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefits are being offered.
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Self-driven and able to produce desired results with minimal direction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, persuasion, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
  • Proficient with computers and programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint.
  • Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup.
  • Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting the needs and expectations of internal and external customers.
  • You will contribute to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Use various tools, such as an impact gun, sidewinder, and drill to perform the assembly of switchboards.
  • Handle materials by following established procedures.
  • Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.
  • Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar.
  • Perform other functions and/or tasks as assigned
  • Flexing into other functions of the business
