About The Position

CPI Radant Technologies Division Inc., a division of CPI (Communications & Power Industries LLC) perform work on radomes and advanced structural composites for the Aerospace and Defense industries. We specialize in the design, manufacture, and testing of radomes/reflectors for use in high performance airborne, ground-based shipboard, and submarine installations. We currently have a need for an Assembler II in our Hudson, Massachusetts facility. Radomes are special “domes” made of composite materials that protect antennas and radar systems from the environment while allowing electromagnetic signals to pass. CPI Radant produces these for critical applications, meaning: They enable secure communications and radar/electronic-warfare capabilities for military and commercial aerospace platforms. Their manufacturing includes large apertures and high-frequency performance. Their advances in composite manufacturing and large structures feed into modern aircraft, satellites, naval vessels, etc.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English
  • Good written documentation and oral communication skills
  • Ability to follow written instructions and associated manufacturing plans or sketches
  • Must be able to read from written instructions and follow verbal directions
  • Pushing/pulling/lifting up to 30 pounds
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • May work at elevated heights on scaffolding platforms and small spaces
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
  • The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Responsibilities

  • Fabricating parts, products, and assemblies from written instructions and associated sketches
  • Manually perform lay-up assemblies of composite parts using various resin-reinforced fabrics &hand tools such as cutting tools, heat guns, templates, etc.
  • Trim / Drill and assemble Radomes
  • Tape / Sand / Wash Radomes for coatings
  • Work to schedules and action lists to complete tasks and goals
