About The Position

Assembler II fabricates component parts or assembles finished products to customer specifications. The role secures and maintains the component parts and supplies needed for the operation, including plates, nails, staples, and fasteners. The Assembler II also checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards and follows established safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
One year or more of experience assembling components or specialty products is preferred.
Working knowledge of basic math is preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete work area setup.
Fit parts together as prescribed and in accordance with quality standards.
Operate presses, machinery, and hand tools as required to complete assembly.
Stack completed products according to established procedures and, when required, cover, label, and band components or finished products.
Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
Complete pre-shift or startup equipment inspection checklists and report problems or concerns.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Provide basic total productive maintenance (TPM) to equipment and complete TPM paperwork when required.
Maintain production records as required.
Check materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and other programs and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
