About The Position

This role is within a production environment with the windows assembly team. The Assembler II will be responsible for producing assemblies using component parts per written and verbal work instructions. This will involve using hand and power tools, machines, and performing tasks such as material handling, window film application, and packaging on pallets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Follows production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and maintain efficiency levels.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component to assure quality product.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; notifies supervisor if repairs are needed.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with housekeeping procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; notifies supervisor of potential shortages.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Follows and implements 5S techniques.
  • Follows Safety guidelines and use required PPE designated by specific areas.
  • Assembles hydraulic hoses with proper torque techniques.
  • Connect electronic and electrical connections based on electrical schematics, with clear understanding of power source polarization.
  • Follows torque requirements.
  • Efficiently performs for work stations or some other tasks in other departments as required.
  • Inspects product effectively, by filling check lists, CTQs in the units.
  • Completes assemblies with a higher difficulty due to more steps on the process, more technical requirements.
  • May be asked to perform other duties outside of their function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
