About The Position

The Assembler II performs production work assigned by the Lead person such as final assembly, testing, and crating. This role involves performing quality checks as needed and properly recording results if necessary. The Assembler II must alert the Lead person of any quality problems, part shortages, machine breakdowns, or any other situations that may arise. Requirements

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to forklift traffic.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. (Safety protection will be provided).
  • The employee may spend 100% of their work hours on the plant floor.
  • Problem solving skills are essential to this position.

Responsibilities

  • Performs production work assigned by the Lead person such as final assembly, testing, and crating.
  • Perform quality checks as needed & properly record results if necessary.
  • Alert Lead person of any quality problems, part shortages, machine breakdowns, or any other situations.
  • Utilizes all available hand and pneumatic tools and appropriate machinery.
  • Occasional climbing of rolling ladders to retrieve materials.
  • Able to work safely in an environment with continuous forklift traffic.
  • Communicates equipment status to operations personnel before, during, and after the job.
  • Assembles and tests large backflow valves.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot equipment/process problems and propose solutions.
