About The Position

Plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the following duties. This role is responsible for installing, repairing wiring, apparatus, and control equipment, following diagrams or blueprints to ensure correct wiring. The position involves measuring, cutting, bending, assembling, and installing electrical conduit, splicing wires by stripping installation from terminal leads and soldering wire together, and connecting wiring to panel boxes. Additionally, the role includes the installation of switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, as well as installing and connecting power cables and grounding leads to equipment. The Assembler II will perform wiring of standard, medium, and complex panels, install probes and transducers, perform wiring of transformers, and tie-in compressor panels. Responsibilities also extend to wiring defrost systems, lights, receptacles, fire-stats, and T-states. The position requires testing circuit continuity and performing hard wire testing. In terms of training, the Assembler II will assist in training Panel Worker I, ensure OJT Training Documents are updated, and perform OJT training of newly hired associates. They will also work closely with and assist to accomplish associate development and continuous improvement, including basic Lean principles and identifying training needs for the team and associates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
