About The Position

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is a leading manufacturer of Display Cases, Specialty Products, Refrigeration Systems, Power Systems and Comprehensive Services. DFR is looking for an Assembler II - Kitting who is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules. This role is part of the Operations Department and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings
• Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices
• Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials
• Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedules
• Move totes to tables, checking to ensure all parts are complete, moving parts to shelves, and making copies of paperwork
• Confers with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
• Work at different workstations as production needs require
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell
• Perform other duties as assigned
