About The Position

Responsible for the hand assembly of parts into the electronic circuit board for conformance to established specifications. This role involves demonstrating proper techniques for component assembly, clinching, trimming, and material handling to ensure reliability and prevent damage. The position requires setting up and using tools and equipment, operating torque wrenches, and adhering to inspection and audit requirements. Additionally, the Assembler II must identify and segregate non-conforming materials, manage material shelf life, and handle process chemicals and materials with proper precautions. The role also includes measuring height requirements, understanding manufacturing instructions, handling process deviations or ECOs, and working independently to achieve acceptable quality results. Requesting changes or clarifications to instructions and performing general cleaning of the work area and equipment are also part of the responsibilities. Safety is a core responsibility, requiring adherence to all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and procedures, including wearing PPE, participating in training, reporting unsafe conditions, and stopping work when necessary. The Team Member is required to work overtime as needed.

  • Must be able to work overtime on an as needed basis

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ability to properly assemble components into printed circuit boards
  • Demonstrate proper technique for clinching and trimming leads
  • Demonstrate proper material handling techniques to ensure component reliability and to avoid damaging components and boards
  • Set-up, verify, and use tools and equipment in area
  • Operate and verify torque of torque wrenches
  • Follow requirements for 1st piece inspections and in-process audits
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming material
  • Review shelf life of materials prior to usage (when applicable)
  • Demonstrate proper handling precautions when working with process chemicals and materials
  • Measure height requirements with appropriate measuring tools when required
  • Able to identify work order, assembly number, and revision level of assembly from manufacturing instructions
  • Correctly handles process deviation or ECO is in the manufacturing instructions
  • Work without assistance using manufacturing instructions with acceptable quality results
  • Use the appropriate method to request changes, corrections or clarification to a manufacturing instruction
  • Perform general area/equipment/machine cleaning
