Assembler I Position Summary Perform assembly and packaging of components into products for the medical industry. This position is on first shift (working hours 6am-2:30pm) and will be based out of our facility located in west Bloomington, Minnesota (55438).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to read, speak and understand English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Able to work in a clean room environment, including working with chemicals as needed to clean work areas and components (Isopropyl Alcohol, solvents, detergents, etc.).
  • Able to sit and stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Able to work overtime as needed (staying later during the week days or at least one weekend day)
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Assembly, clean room or manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing Methodologies.
  • Previous work experience in a clean room environment.
  • Knowledge or training pertaining to cGMP and ISO regulations.
  • Clean room practices, including gowning.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and packaging of components into products for the medical industry.
  • Inspect, assemble, and package medical devices and components
  • Use tray, band, and impulse sealers
  • Work with chemicals (Isopropyl Alcohol, solvents, detergents, etc.) as needed to clean work area and components.
  • Ensure products are handled and assembled per Quality Tech Services' Quality Systems Procedure(s)
  • Adhere to cGMP and ISO regulations
  • Competent on all tray, band and impulse sealers
  • Responsible for maintaining an awareness of workplace safety and OSHA regulations and relevant training
  • Responsible for proper documentation necessary to complete job
  • Assist with weekly cleaning of production area(s) and cleaning of common areas
  • Other duties as assigned
