Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. This role secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation. The Assembler I will complete work area setup, fit parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards, and operate hand tools as required to complete the assembly process. They will stack completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components of the finished product. Ensuring the work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate is also a key responsibility. The Assembler I will complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklists and report any problems or concerns, maintain a clean and orderly work environment, and keep production records as required. They will also check materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards and perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards. Participation in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings is expected, along with performing other duties as assigned.
