The Assembler I position is responsible for assembling various parts into sub or final assemblies, either by hand or with the use of equipment and small hand tools, on a wide variety of production units. This role requires the ability to utilize control sheets and engineering drawings for every process and to follow standard work provided for each shipset. The position also involves cross-training on multiple processes to ensure flexibility within the line, mentoring other assemblers on certified processes, and conducting self-inspections on completed assemblies. Maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area, ensuring all work meets quality and work specifications, and communicating any issues or damages to the line lead/supervisor are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role requires adherence to all RECARO safety processes and policies, identifying opportunities to reduce scrap cost, supporting 5S initiatives, providing feedback on process improvements, and participating in team meetings.
