About The Position

AGI Hi Roller manufactures a line of premier commercial enclosed, dust-tight and self-reloading conveyors, designed for installation in grain handling facilities, soy and corn processing operations and industrial operations. It specializes exclusively in the design and application of conveyors which will not only contain dust and spilled materials but will also automatically reload that material back on the carrying surface of the belt. Join the Hi Roller team as an Assembler and help build top-quality grain conveyors from scratch. You’ll be responsible for various types of general assembly of conveyor components using various types of hand tools to include corded, non-corded and pneumatic. Our large production team consists of welders, assemblers, metal fabricators, powder coaters, and more. As an Assembler you will collaborate with your Production Supervisor and peers to assemble top-quality grain conveyors for our customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Manufacturing experience is an asset
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling heavy loads and standing for long periods of time.
  • Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
  • Wear safety shoes, goggles, hoods with protective lenses and other devices designed to prevent burns and eye injuries.
  • Able to complete basic mathematics (addition and subtraction)
  • Follow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies.
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 55 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.

Responsibilities

  • Follow company safety rules in accordance with OSHA regulations such as wearing required PPE, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs and gloves.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine assembly requirements.
  • Understand how to arrange parts and staging of materials.
  • Review finished parts to ensure accuracy against drawings and BOMs.
  • Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements.
  • Follow all SOP’s and SWI’s required for the department.
  • Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required.
