About The Position

Assembler I perform tasks that are necessary to the production process. Under direct supervision, performs routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes while keeping safety and quality top priority.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and less than one year of experience.
  • Use tools to make or repair parts and products.
  • Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions such as standard work.
  • Work with other members of the line or group in order to assemble products.
  • Keep a clean and tidy workspace.
  • Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry.
  • Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand continuously for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing assembler experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently pack customer orders ensuring the correct parts and quantities are included.
  • Select applicable packaging (box/container) for the order, insert applicable packaging material, construct and seal once completed.
  • Affix packaging label to the outside of the package.
  • Follow detailed instructions to meet safety and quality requirements.
  • Requires use of a few simple hand tools (wrenches, screw drivers, torque gun, scissors, box cutter.).
  • Comprehend and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents.
  • Identify any defective items and handle them according to established procedures.
  • Be a team player who is willing to work with those in their assigned lines or groups and willing to flex to other areas to meet customer demand/order completion.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
