About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking an Assembler I - Seismic (1st Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 per hour. CORE HOURS: 5:45AM - 2:15PM (Monday - Friday). This role involves performing simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components, potentially using bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices. The assembler will work under close supervision and may use models, samples, or simple diagrams. Responsibilities also include picking, packing, and pulling orders efficiently and accurately, troubleshooting problems as they arise, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The position supports facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives, including maintaining 5-S principles, tracking visual management tools like OEE boards, and participating in Kaizen improvements and events.

Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format
Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Responsibilities

Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
May use bolts, screws, clips and other fastening devices.
Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
Keeps work areas clean and safe.
Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
