About The Position

An Assembler is responsible for production-assembly, work is highly repetitive; ability to work following a prescribed routine or where method of assembly is obvious. Must have the ability to follow demonstrated steps. This job requires the operator to run machines to do a specific machining process to molded plastic parts. Operator will have complete and thorough training from the Equipment Programmer/Operator before running this equipment. Operator must correctly place the parts on the machine fixture and secure them using the foot pedal or the hand controls. May need to deburr and/or gauge parts during the machine cycles. Operators are required to select program, change fixtures, & run the machines and are not permitted to program unless properly trained and authorized to do so. Must be able to record process control data, read and interpret blueprint tolerances, use measurement tools properly, start-up and shut down equipment, and operate tools independently.

Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined with basic reading, writing and mathematics skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English; excellent written and verbal communication is required.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic reading and math skills.
  • Normal to high manual dexterity skills.
  • Ability to use all required hand tools, machinery and variable gauges.
  • Qualified and competent after a reasonable predetermined training period based on job complexity.

Responsibilities
