About The Position
Goldshield, a leader in the fiberglass industry since 1982, is seeking an Assembler I - Fiberglass Finisher for its facility in Decatur, Indiana. This role involves manufacturing fiberglass parts for various clients including Fleetwood, Honda, and Daimler, as well as for school buses, emergency vehicles, and heavy-duty trucks. Requirements
- Ability to complete required Goldshield training certification.
- Ability to meet customer quality requirements and production standards.
- Successful completion of the drug and background screening.
Nice To Haves
- 1-year experience in finishing, sanding, buffing, fiberglass, paint prep, or manufacturing.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of Class A and Class C finish expectations.
Responsibilities
- Sanding and buffing fiberglass parts to restore them to the required shape, design, and quality standard.
- Finishing parts at assigned workstations while meeting customer requirements.
- Applying knowledge of Class A and Class C finish requirements.
- Inspecting finished work and helping reduce returns or rework.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
