Requirements

  • Ability to use a variety of measuring tools (Thickness Gauge, Calipers, Micrometers, etc.)
  • Manufacturing Process aptitude.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work.
  • Ability to sit or stand for 8 consecutive hours.
  • Ability to safely lift 40lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to feel and detect subtle material defects.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment, including dust, noise and vibration.

Responsibilities

  • Performs Final Assembly operations on instruments.
  • Wiping and Inspecting instruments following Plating operations and in preparation to ship.
  • Complies with all Policies and Procedures, and with functional and cosmetic quality standards.
  • Complies with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Installs accessory parts to finished assembled instruments, adjusts all to provide good function.
  • Grinds or hones valves and pistons to proper clearance. May be by hand or machine
  • Laps some piston guide keys.
  • Washes instruments and parts free of lapping compound.
  • Must check machining on piston parts and casings and action of valves and slides.
  • Inspects horns for dents and defects.
  • Sort parts and may be required to measure pistons.
