About The Position

This is a night position working 4:00pm – 2:00am Monday - Thursday. Are you a motivated and mechanically inclined individual looking for a challenging role in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Do you have excellent self-direction and teamwork skills? We have an exciting opportunity for an Assembler/Builder to join our team, where you'll play a vital role in the process of making doors.

Requirements

  • Strong team communication skills and ability to work with little direct supervision
  • High level of dexterity and skill to assemble doors, perform visual quality checks, and comprehend construction specs
  • Must be able to communicate in English. Ability to read and write in English is not required
  • Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations, such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Plus, knowledge of fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality.
  • Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format.
  • Ability to work in a team environment; good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manually assembles door shells using pneumatic and manual tools in a fast-paced environment, ensuring correct components are used.
  • Operates and maintains wood machine.
  • Responsible for quality and production; troubleshooting required.
  • Door assembly; door offload and stacking on the line.
  • Loads and unloads parts online to be assembled.
  • Follows work instructions and pays attention to details.
  • Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor, leads, and/or to safety.
  • Achieves/performs daily targets and output of production.
  • Meets quality standards for the line.
  • Follows work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
  • Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements, rules, and regulations.
  • Must be able to work required overtime as needed.
  • Work with leadership and quality members to solve issues.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
