About The Position

This highly motivated individual, as part of the Assembler team, will be responsible for assembling water heaters and/or components using hand tools and portable power tools. This position reports to the Manufacturing supervisor, will be fully onsite and based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic Computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical assembly, electrical wiring, hydro testing, plumbing, setup, insulation and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics for wiring and plumbing instructions, Bill of Materials (BOM), and engineering drawings as needed to build/assemble products.
  • All other duties as required.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test commercial water heaters and burners using hand/light power tools, tape measure and measuring devices, such as torque wrenches.
  • Troubleshoot any abnormalities that may occur during manufacturing or assembly.
  • Read, understand and follow assembly instructions.
  • Utilize gas analyzer equipment for testing
  • Adapt to any new requirements or processes.
  • Inspect parts and finished products for quality, reporting defects or inconsistencies.
  • Maintain accurate production records and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Perform day-to-day functions: assembling, 5S Housecleaning, participation in any and all required safety training, power tools and hand tools usage training.
  • Assist other team members when needed, remain flexible and able to perform other duties as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Value Stream Supervisor or Company management.
