About The Position

The Assembler Apprentice is responsible for safely assembling JLG/Jerr Dan equipment by following detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders. Assembly tasks vary by product and size and involve mechanical, electrical, and manual tools. The role may work in different assembly areas to meet production demands and requires following written and verbal instructions, schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto JLG/Jerr Dan products using power equipment and wrenching techniques.
Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
Accurately use hand and pneumatic tools, including wrenches, hammers, and torque guns.
Accurately use common measuring tools such as a tape measure.
Drill and/or tap holes for wires, hoses, and small parts.
Determine required unit options based on schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts weighing up to 35 pounds, and team lift items weighing up to 60 pounds.
Train and work in various assembly areas in response to production demands.
Follow verbal and written work instructions.
Maintain attention to detail and adhere to quality standards.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and 6S standards.
Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
