About The Position
Performs tasks necessary to assemble cables, subassemblies, and/or final assemblies in accordance with drawings, work instructions, work cell designs, and shop floor travelers. This position works under direct supervision.
Requirements
- High school degree or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Requires a basic understanding of blueprint reading.
- Able to place parts together as shown on the prints.
- Must be able to frequently lift 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to dexterously manipulate a variety of sizes of parts repeatedly.
- Ability to operate industry-standard hand tools.
- Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbal.
Responsibilities
- Assembles parts together as shown on the prints with limited supervision.
- Works at different workstations as production needs require.
- Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
- Utilizes basic Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) practices where applicable.
- Uses/sets up machines, such as arbor presses, stripping machines, crimping machines, torque wrenches/drivers, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
- Utilize SAP-ME effectively and routinely and has a basic understanding of the Non-conformance (NC) process in ME.
