About The Position

Performs any combination of tasks involved in the fabrication, manufacture, assembly, testing and packaging of medical devices as well as setting up, operating, performing maintenance on and troubleshooting equipment. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality guidelines. Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to use basic tools of measurement, such as microscopes.
Must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work on a regular, punctual basis.
Has good attention to detail.
Ability to get along with people and be able to work in a team environment.
Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities.
Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend specifications written in English and perform basic math calculations.

Mechanical build and assembly, chemical mixing.
Priority soft skills: Attention to detail, seeks correct understanding of tasks (Asks questions) then autonomously executes tasks.
Raises questions/concerns when observing something different or abnormal, or the equipment is not functioning properly so we can correctly and efficiently address the issues and avoid having non-conforming samples built.

Responsibilities

Mechanical assembly and sample builds including, mixing chemical formulations, using specialized equipment and tooling to heat form tips on catheter shafts, apply coatings to catheters, apply lubrication to guidewires.
Photograph and characterize samples, and prepare samples for conditioning and testing.
Execute sample build, characterization, and/or preparation once trained.
Perform quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
Set up, operate, perform maintenance on, and troubleshoot equipment.
