About The Position

Responsible for reading work orders and assembling trucks within the allotted time by coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments. This position also involves reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor and responding to inquiries or requests for information. This position falls under the company's safety-sensitive category. Successful candidates must comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy, and are subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient mechanical skills.
  • Proficient 12-volt wiring skills.
  • Proficient hydraulic plumbing skills.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
  • Proficient PC skills including Office products.
  • Visual and auditory skills.
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, climb, and lift items weighing 40 lbs. or less.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery, power tools, or equipment.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights or in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in a loud environment.
  • Must be able to work with a partner.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties to support the assembly department including clocking job information, assembling trucks using basic hand and power tools according to instructions, communicating issues with supervisors and parts attendants, assisting in training new employees, working with hand and power tools, operating an overhead crane, and working with a partner.
  • Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information, parts, materials, and procedures.
  • Abides by current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed to promote an environment free of harassment and illegal discriminatory behavior.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports adherence to internal policies, procedures, and practices for risk management, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested or on a schedule, compiling information and providing data as needed.
  • Responds to inquiries related to their area or from customers/personnel within given time frames and established policy.
  • Performs ancillary duties that support essential job functions, which may be altered or redesigned based on individual circumstances.
