ASPN II-Labor and Delivery
About The Position
Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Uses the nursing process and evidence-based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care. The position performs its role within five core performance domains: Clinical Practice; Service Excellence; Professional Development and Professional Communication and Behaviors; Research and Evidence Based Practice; and Organization Contributions. The Family Maternity Center has 10 labor beds, 30 post-partum beds, and a special care nursery. It cares for higher-risk situations and is known for outstanding care and having Rochester’s most newborns each year.
Requirements
- At least six months of RN experience at the time of initial hire.
- Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR certification: American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Labor & Delivery is preferred.
- A BS in Nursing is preferred.
