About The Position

A.C. Moate Industries is seeking an experienced Asphalt Superintendent with a strong background in commercial paving and pavement maintenance operations. The ideal candidate is a self-directed field leader with a proven ability to manage crews, execute projects, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. We are not looking to train someone how to lead. You must bring demonstrated experience running asphalt operations, managing teams, and delivering successful projects. If you have a track record of performance and are motivated to grow within a rapidly expanding company, this is a strong opportunity.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in asphalt paving or heavy civil construction
  • Prior experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to manage crews, production, and jobsite operations
  • Strong understanding of asphalt equipment and processes
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, and project scopes
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage asphalt paving, grinding, sealcoating, and maintenance projects
  • Lead field crews and ensure productivity, accountability, and performance
  • Coordinate daily jobsite logistics, scheduling, and material flow
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate scope and ensure readiness
  • Maintain quality control throughout all phases of work
  • Identify and resolve field issues efficiently
  • Work closely with estimators and project managers to execute scope
  • Review plans, specifications, and job requirements
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
  • Enforce all safety standards and jobsite protocols
  • Ensure compliance with Oregon OSHA (OR-OSHA) regulations
  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability across crews
