About The Position

We’re seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator who’s ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter — and build a career with a company that’s building North America. Reports to the various supervisors. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. Primary responsibilities include assisting in Maintenance & Production functions.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have previous welding, cutting experience
• Haul trucks, loaders, and various mine equipment experience
• Basic computer skills and understanding of hardware/software
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Nice To Haves

• Weigh Master License may be required in some states.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform maintenance activities to insure plant efficiency
• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environment and areas.
• Prioritizes SAFETY, then QUALITY, followed by PRODUCTION
• Communicates effectively and timely with staff
• Ensure all work areas are clean, tidy and organized at all times
• Internal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect Company resources
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures
• Ability to work independently, self-starter, yet able to participate within a team environment
• Ability to operate equipment effectively
• Must understand equipment functions and processes of the primary areas
• Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
