About The Position

The Asphalt Paving Foreman is responsible for coordinating all daily crew activities to maximize productivity and quality, ensuring work is performed safely, and monitoring the layout, placement, and compaction of asphalt materials. This role requires a strong understanding of asphalt paving operations and the ability to ensure quality in all aspects of lay down operations. The Foreman will also verify measurements, slope, and thickness for compliance with specifications and perform other duties as directed by their supervisor.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years construction experience with an emphasis on asphalt paving
Valid driver’s license
Basic math skills
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull and be on your feet for long periods of time
Assure all safety procedures are followed
Must pass a pre employment drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

Coordinate all daily crew activities to maximize productivity and quality
Perform work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors
Utilization of HCSS Heavy Job to track daily quantities, use of production reports and daily timecards
Monitor layout, placement, compaction of asphalt materials and assure quality of working in all aspects of lay down operations
Verify measurements, slope and thickness for compliance of specifications
Other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor
