About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Paving Foreman for their Huntsville, Alabama operations. This role will oversee and supervise asphalt paving crews on various projects including commercial parking lots, city streets, county and state roadways, and interstate highways. The successful candidate will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a paving foreman, with references.
• Asphalt paving experience required.
• Computer skills are required.
• Driver’s license and safe driving record.

• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven record of being a self-starter and able to work under limited supervision.
• Ability to work well with team members or inspectors while managing stressful situations in changing environments.
• Proficient with GPS grade and slope control.

Responsibilities

• Enforce and abide by the safety policies while completing satisfactory and quality work daily.
• Perform asphalt paving, stone set-up, and milling operations in accordance with ALDOT, County, City and Commercial Specifications.
• Read plans and specifications (application rates, grades, slope, drainage, etc.).
• Complete jobs under budget and on time by setting clear expectations and feedback to crew members.
• Manage all aspects of the operation including ordering of materials, logistics, maintenance, and outside services.
• Coordinate between other foreman, plants, crews, subs, and vendors in advance of starting the shift or project.
• Ensure daily maintenance and housekeeping are occurring and pre-trip inspections are written up and submitted daily.
• Nights and weekends are required based on customer demands.
• Daily submission of electronic timecards and shift production reports as required by management with accurate quantities and cost coding.
