Asphalt Paver Operator
About The Position
Anderson Columbia Inc. is hiring an Asphalt Paver Operator for its Ocala, Florida location. The role involves operating paving equipment and placing asphalt neatly and in an orderly fashion. The operator is expected to maintain the equipment they operate and communicate effectively with truck drivers, screed operators, and ground crew. This is a full-time position with a standard work week of 50 hours, generally Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays. Hours may vary depending on weather, and the work week may include night work. Duties may change daily based on the project and weather. Reliable attendance is required. Pay is listed as $21 DOE. Benefit packages are available after three months.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of verifiable experience.
- Ability to maintain the equipment operated.
- Ability to place asphalt in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Ability to communicate well with truck drivers, screed operators, and ground crew.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
- Valid Florida driver’s license, or ability to obtain one within three months.
- Dependable transportation to work.
