About The Position

Martin Marietta Minnesota District asphalt operations are currently looking for versatile Heavy Equipment Operators to join the team. This position is responsible for operating mobile equipment, performing mechanical work, and other duties associated with the safe and efficient operation of equipment used to produce hot mix asphalt. This position will include travel within the district. This is a full-time seasonal union position, membership in Local 49 Operating Engineers is mandatory.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• High-school diploma or equivalent per union requirements
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation
• 1 + year related experience
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders up to 80+ feet
• Must be able to work at heights up to 80+ feet
• Must be able to work in confined spaces

Nice To Haves

• Tools, mechanical aptitude, and welding experience preferred.
• Previous experience operating mobile construction equipment is desired.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, and maintain plant and associated production equipment
• Inspect, operate, and maintain mobile equipment including skid steer, front-end loader, pit truck, water truck, etc.
