About The Position
Silver Star Construction is hiring Asphalt Laborers/Operators to support roadway and paving projects throughout the area. We are looking for hardworking individuals who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to quality infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Able to stand, bend, crouch, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to adapt to changing project demands and schedules
- Available for overtime, weekends, and night work when necessary
Nice To Haves
- Experience working around paving and asphalt operations
- Ability to operate equipment such as loaders, pavers, tractors, screeds, or skid steers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to teamwork
- Ability to accurately measure and prepare work areas
Responsibilities
- Assist crews with asphalt placement on roads, highways, parking lots, and residential developments
- Rake, spread, and smooth asphalt materials
- Support asphalt repair and patching operations using hot and cold mix products
- Operate hand tools and selected construction equipment
- Load, move, and organize materials throughout the jobsite
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Assist equipment operators and skilled construction personnel as needed
