About The Position

Join D&J Construction Company and build your career through a variety of experiences. This role involves driving a commercial vehicle for an asphalt highway construction crew, making up approximately 25% of the job responsibility. The remaining 75% of the role will involve performing a wide variety of other construction-related activities, participating in all phases of highway construction, and receiving training in traffic control management. There is potential for operating power tools such as jackhammers, earth tampers, and pavement breakers, as well as heavy construction equipment depending on previous experience.

Requirements

Must have a valid Class A or Class B with Pendulum Hitch Endorsement commercial driver's license.
Flexible and dependable availability – primarily day work Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and nighttime work.
Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or other senior crew members.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Valid email address.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Nice To Haves

Prior similar job experience preferred but not required.
Prior asphalt experience will be preferred.
Prior traffic control experience will be preferred.
