About The Position
R.E. Beckner Construction, Inc. is seeking a motivated and hardworking Asphalt Crew Member to join our team. As an integral part of our asphalt paving team, you will help prepare, install, and finish asphalt on roads, driveways, and parking lots. We have multiple positions open in our paving division.
Requirements
- Ability to work in outdoor environments with variable weather conditions
- Physically fit to handle heavy lifting and long hours on foot
- A team player with strong communication skills
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Experience in asphalt or construction work preferred but not required – we offer training for the right candidate!
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, placement, and compaction of asphalt
- Operate basic tools and equipment such as shovels, rakes, tampers, and compactors
- Support the machine operators as directed to ensure a smooth paving process
- Work safely and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Perform quality control checks and assist with project completion
