About The Position

This is a State Contract position for an ASP.NET Developer. The selected Consultants will work closely with the designated I.T. supervisor, project managers, and other developers in an agile development environment. The work scope includes requirements gathering, application design, application development, testing, deployment, and technical support. Consultants will be responsible for new development and/or rewriting legacy applications to .NET applications utilizing C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, Windows Forms, SQL Server, and other technologies. The new applications will implement an N-tier architecture and comply with coding standards. During the interview process, the resource consultant must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment, and this experience must be documented for review and verification. Resource consultants will undergo a background check.

NET Web Developer experience developing ASP.NET Core MVC applications, including at least 4 years of ASP.NET Core MVC
ASP.NET development using C#
SQL Server database design and development, including query optimization, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions
Code repository, code promotion, and recovery strategies using TFS
Developing applications using Entity Framework (EF) 4.0 or later
Developing web applications using .NET Framework 4.0 or higher
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience developing and securing Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
N-tier environments as related to development and deployment
Developing projects using Agile methodology with TFS / DevOps
Developing reports using SSRS and SSIS and making them accessible within an MVC web application
Developing applications that are mobile compliant
Developing with Visual Studio, including 2 years with Visual Studio 2019
TFS/Azure DevOps, including Git, Boards, and CI/CD pipelines
REST API experience
Microsoft C# .NET Core or .NET 5 experience
Test Driven Development (TDD) or experience implementing an application testing strategy
Implementing AJAX-enabled controls within ASP.NET web applications
