About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a talented ASL Sign Language Interpreter for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year at a wonderful and supportive Illinois school district. This is an in-person position at Bartlett High School, full-time, Monday through Friday. We are a caring, women-led therapy company that genuinely values and supports its team, committed to fostering a positive work environment while making a real difference in schools.

Requirements

Must hold a valid Illinois Paraprofessional Educator License issued by ISBE.
Experience as an ASL Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in a school setting.

Nice To Haves

Mentorship and support for those new to educational interpreting is available.
Experience working in school districts.

Responsibilities

Interpret for students and staff using American Sign Language (ASL).
Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their hearing peers and educators.
Work within a supportive Illinois school district environment.
Provide interpreting services for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.
