About The Position
Baptist Health is currently hiring an American Sign Language Interpreter in our Office of Interpreting Service at Baptist Hospital located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN opportunity. This position may also involve sight translation of documents. As a Language Interpreter, you will be responsible for clearly and accurately interpreting between target language and source language for caregivers and patients/companions who have limited proficiency in English. You will work with a diverse group of people across the entire health system, working with numerous cultures. The interpreters are respected and they work in a great tight knit environment!
Requirements
- 3-5 years Interpreting experience
- High School Diploma Required
- 40-60 Hour Medical Interpreter Training Course Required
- Three-Five Years Interpreting Experience Required
- Three-Five Years Foreign Language Experience Required
Nice To Haves
- Medical Translator Certificate
