About The Position
HealthPro Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity available for an ASL Interpreter in Pasco County, FL! This is a part-time, 10 hours/week, W-2 position in a school setting. Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- National Interpreter Certification (NIC), Registry for Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), National Association of the Deaf (NAD), Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA), or an educator’s certificate
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a deaf related field
- Experience in a similar position
Responsibilities
- Responsible for facilitating communication between students who are deaf/hard of hearing and those individuals involved in the educational process through the use of sign language, oral interpreting, real time captioning, and/or other communication resources needed to accommodate hearing impaired students who are qualified to receive these services.
