About The Position

ASL Fluent Shared Living Provider - Contractor. This role involves providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities within your own home. The goal is to foster independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring the health and safety of the individuals served. Required training, including CPR and First Aid, is provided. This is a full-time, remote position with a daily stipend.

Requirements

• ASL Fluent
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid driver's license and car insurance.
• Fewer than 6 points in the last two years on your motor vehicle record.
• Spare bedroom and willingness to share your home.

Nice To Haves

• Can have another job or work outside of the home.
• Related caregiver can be a Shared Living provider, even if you are their guardian.
• Can be a provider for more than one individual, if you have a bedroom available and meet the qualifications (up to 4 people).

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, aiming to foster increased independence, choice, and empowerment while assuring their health and safety needs are met.
• Supervising, teaching, and assisting individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Integrating the individual into your everyday life.
• Providing personal care assistance.
• Participating in community outings and appointments through transporting and assisting the individual served.
• Completes all billing.
