About The Position

The Asbestos Worker performs asbestos abatement and related field operations in accordance with regulatory standards and Tasman’s safety-first protocols. This role works closely with crew members to remove asbestos-containing materials such as industrial pipe wrap and gaskets. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a team environment. This position is primarily field-based with minimal travel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of asbestos abatement experience
  • Valid Colorado asbestos abatement certifications
  • Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and project needs
  • Physical ability to perform demanding outdoor work
  • Valid driver's license
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to safely perform work in hazardous environments

Nice To Haves

  • Construction, restoration, or mold remediation experience
  • Experience with asbestos pipeline removal
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily timecards and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) forms
  • Submit incident reports as required
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors and crew members
  • Document daily activities and support project recordkeeping
  • Perform asbestos abatement activities in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Remove, handle, package, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials safely
  • Assist with industrial pipe wrap and gasket removal projects
  • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe operation
  • Wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures and site requirements
  • Perform general labor tasks including lifting, shoveling, and hand auguring as needed
  • Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and restoration activities
  • Secure job sites at the end of each workday
  • Work collaboratively with crew members and field leadership
  • Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks
  • Support a positive safety culture and help identify potential hazards
  • Follow Tasman policies, procedures, and company standards at all times
